An original-concept restaurant serving an elevated breakfast menu, all-day, while also offering a full-bar. The name is inspired by the owner’s grandmother and the strong, sophisticated women of her generation.

As you can see below, we explored quite a few different styles and time periods. The logo needed to encapsulate an idea and a feeling the owner had in her head. It was our job to hash through a myriad of keywords scribbled down during our first meeting–words like mid-century modern, vintage tattoos, pin-ups and art deco. The final logo took a bit from all of these, but the custom script font and sparrow illustration gave the logo exactly what she was looking for.

As with most of our menu designs, we kept it clean and concise. Small graphical elements were added to allude to the 40s and 50s when diners ruled the breakfast world. We highlighted the house-made biscuits, at the chef’s request and quickly found that they were more than worthy of center stage.

voice

By combining the inspiration behind the Hot Betty’s name with the voice and attitude of its owner and chef, we developed a light-hearted and welcoming narrative.

According to our Grandmothers, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. We’re not gonna argue with that.

Our own scientific research has taught us cocktails, cold beer and friends make everything a little better. So, armed with these indisputable facts, we built a concept and brought it to Tucker, Georgia.

Welcome to Hot Betty’s Breakfast Bar, where we serve the most important meal of the day, all-day, and won’t judge you for what you put in your coffee.

Start-up restaurants seldomly account for the number of issues they will have to endure–or the large sums of money it takes to fix them–before opening.

Knowing this, we built a custom one-page website at a budget-friendly price. The site incorporates important information and tells their story with beautiful imagery. We even added a mobile-friendly food menu, because who can read a pdf on their iPhone?

Let's get serious.
